I am honored to have been invited by the San Francisco Public Library to present a series of five performances for their Middle Eastern Heritage Month, focusing on Jewish and Israeli music for children and families - "Alison Faith Levy Sings Shalom"! Having taught Early Childhood music in Jewish setting for several years, this is a dream come true. I will be introducing simple Hebrew words and Jewish concepts for a general audience, including some originals, some traditional songs, and of course - lots of dancing and silliness, too.
Monsters, Schemes & Wild Dreams is this year's brilliant theatrical production from Stage Write, with musical numbers written by Alison Faith Levy! Stage Write is an organization that teaches playwriting and theater skills to elementary school kids in the SF public schools. Five young playwrights are then chosen to have their plays produced, performed by professional actors, with songs and live musical accompaniment for two nights at the Brava. It's an incredible show on all levels, great fun for the whole family!
